On Wednesday, January 11th, the Blan McBride family hosted a “LINC Together” Open House in Tallahassee. Over 70 artists and conservationists joined LINC Board President Carlton Ward Jr, Executive Director Peg McPherson, and LINC Affiliate Joe Davenport of Manship Films in a campfire presentation about the Florida Wildlife Corridor launching next week on January 17th, LINC’s Greater Everglades Conservation Art Atlas, and the future of Florida Forever.
Around a cozy bonfire, under an “almost” full moon, the presentations about LINC projects became an inspiring campfire discussion–with productive questions and insightful ideas to expand and enhance LINC’s mission of celebrating and protecting Florida’s natural and cultural heritage.
As one guest remarked, the event “linked up a fabulous gathering of “who’s who” in Florida art and conservation.
If you would like to host a “LINC Together” in your community, let us know.
Great things happen when artists and conservationists get together.
