YOU are the most important LINC

Your donations give LINC the critical ability to create and manage programs, and conservation artists the ability to fulfill their work. Supporting LINC is an acknowledgment of our need to strengthen who we are as a culture, and an acknowledgment that our cultural progress is intrinsically linked to our environmental sustainability.

The Legacy Institute for Nature and Culture links artists to conservation and cultural issues, expands the coverage of conservation issues by mainstream media, and directs Conservation Communications on issues of importance that lack coverage. LINC’s mission is specific, but the coverage represented by its projects is extensive. LINC is unique. There is no other Florida-based non-profit that focuses on the use of compelling visual media as a tool to reach the hearts and minds of the populace.

And few outlets exist that allow artists the funding needed for educational projects. This non-profit organization can provide help to such artists in the absence of governmental and educational resources.

You can help extend LINC’s reach in many ways.

Those who care most about protecting Florida’s natural and cultural heritage believe strongly in our mission. As your own understanding about our heritage increases, you can see that the best legacy you can leave for future generations is a culture that values a sustainable environment. With your help, we can strengthen and augment this culture.

You may give to support LINC innovations, or designate your funds for a specific project, such as LINC’s Scholarship and Fellows program, the Florida Forever Project, or the Greater Everglades Conservation Atlas, just to name a few. Explore our Programs page and ArtsLINC page for additional information on specific projects and programs that are creating a new appreciation for nature and culture in Florida.

LINC contributor Wesley C. Skiles, died “on location” in July 2010 doing what he loved—capturing the mysterious beauty of Florida’s waters. Wesley was a cave diving pioneer, explorer, and ground breaking underwater cinematographer. By supporting projects such as Wesley Skiles’ through LINC, you help put talented individuals where they need to be to get the job done.

Support for Specific Projects

A great way to support a specific project is to become an official sponsor for it. Projects that are sponsored by LINC can accept money from any private entity, whether that is a person or a corporation.

Benefits of Giving

Beyond empowering premier and emerging artists who advance the preservation of Florida’s natural heritage, sponsors also receive advertising and promotional benefits as our way of saying thank you. Of course, you may choose to lend financial support to a particular project without advertising the fact.
